Email

Send new feedback to a shared inbox — the one integration available on every plan.

Available on every plan, including Free.

Connect

Integrations in the sidebar → Email → enter the address → Connect, then Test.

Then enable it per project under Project → Integrations.

What gets sent

Every new thread on an enabled project sends an email containing the project name, the author, the comment, and a link straight to the page it was left on.

Mail comes from notifications@annot8.app and replies route to support@annot8.app.

This is not the same as your own notifications

Two different things, easy to confuse:

Email integrationPersonal notifications
Set byAn admin, for the workspaceEach person, for themselves
Goes toOne shared addressYour own inbox
CoversNew feedbackFeedback, replies, mentions, assignments, status changes, digests
Configurable per eventNoYes

Use the integration for a shared inbox — product@, a helpdesk address, a mailing list. Use personal notifications for yourself.

Annot8 won't double-send: if the integration address matches a member who is already getting a personal new-feedback email, they get one message, not two.

Multiple recipients

Connect the integration to a distribution list or an alias your mail provider fans out. That's more manageable than several integrations, and it means adding someone doesn't need an Annot8 admin.

Not arriving?

  1. Check spam, then allow-list annot8.app.
  2. Check the integration's last-delivery status for the error.
  3. Confirm the integration is toggled on for the project.
  4. Corporate mail filters silently drop mail from unfamiliar senders more often than people expect — ask IT to allow-list the sending domain before assuming the integration is broken.

Too much mail?

Switch the shared inbox off and use a Slack or Teams channel, or drive email from an automation so only threads matching conditions get sent.
