Share a link to collect feedback from clients, stakeholders, or anyone without requiring them to create an account.

Creating a Public Link

1. Go to your project in the dashboard
2. Navigate to Settings → Public Link
3. Click Generate Link
4. Copy and share the link

How It Works

Your Public Link: https://annot8.app/p/abc123

→ Client opens link
→ Sees your website in an iframe
→ Can leave comments with name/email
→ Feedback appears in your dashboard

Public Link Options

Anonymous Feedback

Allow completely anonymous feedback:

Collect Contact Info

Require name and email for follow-up:

Expiration

Set an expiration date for the link:

Expires: 7 days / 30 days / Never

Embedding in Emails

Include the public link in client emails:

Revoking Access

To revoke a public link:

1. Go to project Settings
2. Click Revoke Link
3. Generate a new link if needed

Security

Public links are:

• Unique per project - Each project has its own link
• Revocable - Disable anytime
• Rate limited - Prevents spam
• Domain restricted - Only works on allowed domains

Best Practices

1. Share responsibly - Only with people who need access
2. Set expiration - Use time-limited links for projects
3. Revoke when done - Remove access after project completion
4. Require contact info - For client feedback you need to follow up on

Widget Integration

Load the widget with public link mode:
