# Feedback inbox

List and Kanban views over every thread in a project, with filters, search, and a right-click menu that does most of the work.

Source: https://docs.annot8.app/docs/feedback/inbox

The inbox is the project's home. Every thread lands here — pinned from the
widget, submitted through a hosted form, or created from the public portal.

## Views [#views]

Switch between two layouts; your choice is remembered per project and is also
carried in the URL, so a link you paste in Slack opens the way you left it.

### List [#list]

A dense table: status, priority, title, page, author, assignee, age. Best for
scanning volume and for triage sessions where you're moving quickly.

### Kanban [#kanban]

Columns you can drag threads between. Group the columns by:

| Group by | Columns |
| ---------- | --------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `status` | Open, In progress, Resolved |
| `priority` | Low, Medium, High, Critical |
| `type` | Your project's [issue types](/docs/feedback/triage#issue-types) |

Dragging a card between columns applies the change immediately — dropping a card
into **High** sets its priority, no dialog.

## Filters [#filters]

| Filter | Values |
| ----------- | -------------------------------- |
| Status | Open, In progress, Resolved, All |
| Priority | Low, Medium, High, Critical |
| Environment | Any environment on the project |
| Search | Free-text across threads |

Filters are reflected in the URL, so a filtered inbox is a shareable link.

<Callout type="info">
In Kanban view the status filter is ignored, since status is what the columns
  already represent.
</Callout>

## The right-click menu [#the-right-click-menu]

Right-click any thread — in either view — for the actions you reach for most:

* **Status** — open, in progress, resolved
* **Priority** — low, medium, high, critical
* **Type** — one of your project's issue types
* **Assignee** — any workspace member
* **Labels** — toggle labels on and off
* **Create issue** — push this thread to Jira, Linear, or GitHub as a ticket
* **Delete** — owners and admins only, with a confirmation

Changes apply optimistically, so the row updates before the round-trip finishes.

## Bulk actions [#bulk-actions]

Tick the checkbox on a row — or press `X` — to select it; Shift-click selects a
range. While anything is selected, a bar shows the count and acts on every
selected thread at once: resolve or reopen, assignee, priority, labels, and
**More actions** for the rest of the right-click menu, including delete for
owners and admins. `Esc` clears the selection.

## Keyboard shortcuts [#keyboard-shortcuts]

Press `?` in the inbox for the full list. Shortcuts act on the open thread, or
on every selected thread when you've picked some.

| Keys | Does |
| ------------- | ------------------------- |
| `J` / `K` | Next / previous thread |
| `X` | Select or deselect thread |
| Shift + click | Select a range |
| `E` | Resolve (or reopen) |
| `A` | Assign to me |
| `S` | Set status |
| `P` | Set priority |
| `T` | Set type |
| `L` | Labels |
| `/` | Search |
| `Esc` | Clear selection, or close |
| `⌘` + `Enter` | Send reply |
| `?` | Show shortcuts |

## Thread detail [#thread-detail]

Click a thread to open it. You get the full context — screenshot, recording,
voice note, steps to reproduce, console errors, network failures, device and
element details — plus:

* **Go to location** — opens the annotated page and scrolls to the pin, waiting
for it if it's behind a modal or a route that hasn't rendered
* **Replies** — the conversation, visible to the reviewer in the widget too
* **AI actions** — summarise, read sentiment, draft a reply, extract action
  items (see [AI](/docs/ai/overview))

## My work [#my-work]

**My work** is the same threads, narrowed to what's on your plate, with three
tabs:

| Tab | Shows |
| ----------- | ------------------------------------------------- |
| Mine | Open threads assigned to you |
| Unassigned | Open threads nobody owns yet |
| In progress | Everything currently in progress, whoever owns it |

Resolved threads are excluded from Mine and Unassigned — this is a working
queue, not an archive.

## Insights [#insights]

**Insights** is the 30-day read on a project:

* Threads and comments in the last 30 days
* First-response and time-to-resolve figures, including p50 and p90
* Breakdown by issue type and by priority
* Which pages attract the most feedback
* Daily volume over the period

Useful for the "are we actually keeping up?" conversation, and for spotting the
one page generating a quarter of your bug reports.

## Export [#export]

**Export CSV** on the project page downloads the currently loaded threads with
their id, status, sentiment, page path, selector, and creation time.

For a continuous feed into another system, use an
[outbound webhook](/docs/integrations/webhooks) rather than exporting on a
schedule.

## Retention [#retention]

Your plan sets how far back the inbox reaches — 14 days on Free, 90 on Pro,
unlimited on Business and Enterprise. Threads older than that stop appearing;
the inbox tells you how many open threads are hidden behind the cutoff. Raising
your plan brings them back.
